This UML Component Diagram describes an in-house DCOM (distributed component object model, predecessor to .NET) architecture we designed to address the challenge our company had with exchanging data feeds between MRP (manufacturing resource planning), Financial, and CRM (customer requirements management) systems both within the company between sister divisions and outside the company with corporate customers.  This diagram has its roots in the Requirements Design document.
